Apple to launch store on Lincoln Road

Architect says design will reflect on the automotive history of the area.

Construction has kicked off on a 14,000-square-foot Apple Store on Lincoln Road.

The new two-level store will be located at 1021 Lincoln Road next to the new Gap store, according to Exmiami.

The retail space has been vacant since the 1940’s when an Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg auto shop was destroyed.

The architect, Touzet Studio, aims to evoke the site’s history as an auto salon and reflect the glassy automotive showrooms that were once ubiquitous along Lincoln Road. [Exmiami] – Christopher Cameron
